Comment:

 The problem is that Cabal-1.4.0.2 does not build with ghc-6.10.

 If you use the latest cabal-install package (ie 0.6.x instead of 0.5.x)
 then its `bootstrap.sh` will pull in a later version of Cabal that does
 work.
