So now there is a standardised way to convert Haskell code to a
package description which isn't Haskell code. All you have shown here
is that there can be two equivalent encodings, one in Haskell, and one
in some special purpose language (Cabal). The question is:
1) Is it easier to read Haskell or Cabal? Answer is almost certainly
Cabal, by a bit.
2) Can you get rooted getting the license out of an application.
Cabal, no, Haskell yes.
