[Haskell-beginners] Error when starting GHCI (Arie van Wingerden)

C:\Windows\system32>cabal update
Downloading the latest package list from hackage.haskell.org
cabal: Failed to download
http://hackage.haskell.org/packages/archive/00-index.tar.gz : ErrorMisc
"Unsucessful HTTP code: 404"
Which is another error; sigh...
I already uninstalled 2 applications that might have interfered; but the
problems remain.
