[Haskell-beginners] scotty installation error

The ghc and cabal versions are:
$ ghc --version
The Glorious Glasgow Haskell Compilation System, version 7.4.2
$ cabal --version
cabal-install version 1.18.0.1
using version 1.18.1 of the Cabal library
