[Haskell-beginners] can't make distribution, requires rerunning ./configure

I just installed a fresh Ubuntu 12.10 and it worked for me. (I hate it when people say that.)

I did:

1. Install ubuntu
2. download ghc 7.6.2 binary tarball
3. ./configure --prefix=/home/hherhold/ghc
4. Failure due to no libgmp
5. Finally figure out how to install libgmp
6. Re-run configure
7. make install

Worked ok.
