There should be a release on Hackage of 2.10.0 already.

This relates to a completely superfluous 'echo' in
/usr/share/doc/ghc/html/libraries/gen_contents_index (line 50).  Until
it's addressed you can get rid of the flooding by just deleting the
line locally.
