[Haskell-cafe] Are handles garbage-collected?

I'm not sure whether this is accounted for in the tally, but I would
guess more threads are crossposted between c.l.scheme and
c.l.functional than between c.l.f and the other groups, and thus more
likely to be read by Haskellites.
