But, the ecosystem cannot stall (eg [5], [6]) because of a single contributor, regardless of that contributor's merits or previous work.</div><div dir="auto" class="sh-color-black sh-color"><br/></div><div dir="auto" class="sh-color-black sh-color">Right now, we have many useful (and in some cases necessary for other work, e.g, for hackage-server 2.0) patches to unix which need to be acted on. Additionally, there are potential maintainers willing to do the work ([7], [8], [9], [10]).</div><div dir="auto" class="sh-color-black sh-color"><br/></div><div dir="auto" class="sh-color-black sh-color">On behalf of the CLC, which owns unix, I am announcing that the unix library will henceforth be under maintainership of the aforementioned individuals, who are all trusted and knowledgeable members of the community, looking to improve the library.</div><div dir="auto" class="sh-color-black sh-color"><br/></div><div dir="auto" class="sh-color-black sh-color">I appreciate everyone who has contributed code to unix, maintained unix in the past, and those who stepped forward to help maintain it going forward.
