Installation 'Bug' in hugs src rpm for linux ??

Hello,

Please excuse me if this list is not the right place
for my problem; I wasn't sure where to write to...

I downloaded the hugs src rpm yesterday, and rebuilt
it successfully on my RH 7.1 linux machine. However,
the following error occurs if I try to install (rpm
--install hugs.rpm):

error: libgcc_s.so.1 required by hugs.rpm

This library is correctly installed in /usr/local/lib
(and symlinked in /usr/lib), with an entry for these
dirs in /etc/ld.so.conf, and an entry in the
$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I have also posted a request for help on the usenet
group: linux.redhat.rpm, without any clear solution so
far.

I'm not quite sure if this is an 'rpm' error or an
error in the hugs rpm ??

I'm using the gcc3 compiler suite.
