 I'm trying to debug this -- I think this may be related with
 7fc418df856d9b58034eeec48915646e67a7a562. Can someone who can reproduce
 the segfault try this with this commit reverted? I can't reproduce the
 segfault on my two x86_64 systems (even with `--timeout 1s`).
