Comment:

 I can reproduce. I agree that the integration of built-in Natural (and
 Integer) in GHC is fragile... Maybe we should fully disable Natural built-
 in rules when we compile `base` to avoid this issue.

 In the meantime I have implemented your workaround in Phab:D4880 (it also
 fixes a critical copy-paste bug).
