 That’s an unsatisfying way to explain a Haskell feature :-)

 Is there someone who is confident about type-checker features that feels
 inspired to turn this into a proposal? (Richard? :-)) I still feel mostly
 like a clueless user with a too strong sense of entitlement…

 But I can give it a shot, of course.
