 I've also confirmed that reverting
 1c4a39d3a8d36803382792ff78b4709794358883 from the current master
 (d39a3409acd3c40fb018ec1c114f15d3ecef6ef9) makes GHC able to compile the
 `vector` test suite again, so that is a viable workaround.
