 I like the "ghci allows but ignores -fhpc and -O" idea and I'd like to see
 this in 8.2.2. However see also
 https://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/13002, not sure if "ghci allows
 but ignores -fhpc and -O" means that 13002 would not get resolved. As my
 original summary wrote this is a regression and I'd like to see it
 resolved sooner rather than later.
