 Ah, I had no idea that this had already been discussed on the mailing list
 before! You should have mentioned that - given the positive response from
 the earlier discussion (and the more current discussion on the mailing
 list), I don't see any reason why we shouldn't incorporate this change
 into `base`.

 Care to submit a patch on Phabricator?
