Comment (by erikd):

 Got GHC compiling with `gcc-5 -fsanitize=address` and AddressSanitizer did
 not find anything to complain about, but `ghc-stage2` still crashes with
 either a segfault or an illegal instruction depending on where it jumps
 to.
