Comment:

 This is likely a duplicate of #10251, fixed for GHC 7.10.2.

 In the meantime, if you say `--ghc-options=-O1` when installing via
 `cabal`, you should be able to get past this error.

 I am closing this ticket as a duplicate. If you think this is in error,
 please reopen.
