Comment:

 Let's see if Austin can merge that big patch in comment:22 to 7.10.2, if
 that does actually fix the problems you are having.

 That said, I'm not finished with this ticket.  I had to park it for a
 while, but I know that the solution is incomplete and am working on making
 it better.  Still, I think the above patch is a big improvement.
