 As of today's commit c7830bdb14e0a85a78617314156d101155fdf7aa , this bug
 seems to persist. It would be interesting to see if it is just me or if
 somebody can reproduce the problem.

 I can add another bit of information. While the
 `inplace/bin/deriveConstants` process is running and seems to hang, I
 performed `top` and can see that `deriveConstants` is consuming '''14GB of
 memory'''.
