Comment:

 This just fails because it uses the old quasi quotes syntax. Replace
 `[$istr` by `[istr|`, and it will work. This is mentioned here:
 [wiki:Migration/8.0#OldQuasiQuotesyntax].

     Remove deprecated quasiquoter syntax.

     In spirit, this reverts 9ba922ee06b048774d7a82964867ff768a78126e

     The syntax has been deprecated with a warning since 2010.
