 I'd just like to ask where this ticket stands after the patch. Does it
 solve simonmar's (1), namely produced package IDs? If we build with this
 patch *without* parallel builds, does this mean we should now get
 deterministic package ID and anything else is a bug, or are there still
 known cases that produce different IDs?
