Comment:

 Here is my [Phab:D349 patch]. I validated on openSUSE 13.1 running on
 x86_64.

 Additionally I back ported the patch to 7.8.3 built, all of Haskell
 Platform and pandoc and verified I can build compdata-0.8.1.0
