Comment (by parcs):

 Runtime results are mixed (likely noise I think)
 Allocation doesn't change except with cacheprof which sees an increase of
 0.6%..
 Binary size changes between -3.5% to -1.3%
 Compile-time allocation changes between -10.3% to 0%
