 I have not reviewed in detail -- I hope Simon Marlow may find time to do
 so.  But there are some tricky corners and I love a bit more by way of
 comments, especially Notes along the lines of
 [wiki:Commentary/CodingStyle].  Think: how easy will it be for someone
 else to understand and maintain this in 5 years time.  (I used github to
 add comments in a couple of places.)

 User manual changes?
