 I'm not familiar with this bit of the build system.  Perhaps `$(libraries
 /integer-gmp/mkGmpDerivedConstants_dist_depfile_c_asm)` isn't defined
 early enough?  There are ways to debug what the build system is doing, see
 wiki:Building/Modifying.

 At the least, we need to know (a) what was wrong and (b) why the change
 fixes it.
