GHC October 2013 Status Report

Hello friends,

The new status report[1] is up. I've added to it over the past two
weeks or so and I believe it is now rather complete. It's actually
rather large, because we have a lot of new improvements!

If you have 5 minutes, please take the time to read it over and let me
know if I missed anything. Feel free to amend typos etc, should you be
so inclined. :)
