It has been proposed here
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/llvm-dev/gGivQ38EHIY that LLVM
should not autodetect the cpu by default, but only if the flag -mcpu=native
is passed. This is what GCC does already with -march=native.

BTW Magnus, did you try the patch that I sent yet?
